Control Electronics HCX200
Control Electronics HCX200

The HCX200 device is a universal, highly integrated control unit which is used in almost all HKR power electronic components. Its usage spectrum ranges from current controlled traction drives with integrated slip and slide protection, speed controlled drive systems, single or tri-phase on-board power supplies to DC/DC-converters and battery chargers with freely configurable charging characteristics.

The firmware offers an extensive library of predefined function modules that can be mostly combined in a free manner. Thereby it is highly flexible and allows the realization of diverse applications. The parameter configuration can be done via a WINDOWS® based service- and diagnosis program.

In- and outputs can be preset with any process data for system monitoring and control. Those can be provided as percentage- or physical values.

The function scope of the firmware is documented in function plans and a parameter list.

A powerful service- and diagnostic tool simplifies commissioning, maintenance and trouble-shooting. It supports import and readout of parameter sets, the modification of parameters as well as monitoring and recording of actual values and process data. For trouble-shooting and optimization of controller settings a 4-channel oscilloscope function with selectable resolution is available.

All devices of a system can be addressed via CAN-Servicebus. Parameters can be transmitted either to single units or groups of them (e.g. all traction inverters) which makes it easy to optimize control settings in a fast way. Thanks to freely configurable naming, data and oscilloscope traces can be assigned clearly.

Innovative diagnostic functions reduce or avoid downtimes and increase the availability of the whole system.

The newly developed control unit HCX200 replaces the proven SCE2000 which must be discontinued because of the end of life of different electronic parts. The development was conducted by setting a high value on compatibility, so that the new control unit can be used as spare part in existing systems with only some small modifications of cabling.
